A mother bird is kind

and watches over her chicks
with care
never does she think
about herself
in her quest to raise her young

A mother bear is strong
she defends her cubs from
danger
she fights her cubs battles
untill they can use their claws

But no mother
is my mother
and no mother cares
like my mother
because no mother
is you
