Nobody's Home
Here there once lived a family,
Happy, rich, and careless.
But one day they lost it all,
To a bet I will presume;
And today the house still stands,
Like a tree without its leaves;
Like glass without it's shine,
Or like a nest without its birds.
Sad, poor, and troubled,
Now nobody's home.
15th was it's number,
But now its boarded up.
The lights were left on,
And dirty paint is peeling.
The neighbours have all left,
The family is long gone,
And now, nobody's home.
